# Rick Turoczy

> Portland, Oregon startup community builder, writer, and speaker. Founder and editor of Silicon Florist, where he has written more than 6,000 posts about Oregon startups since 2007. Cofounder of PIE (Portland Incubator Experiment), TechfestNW, and Built Oregon. Available for keynotes, conference talks, panels, and consulting through Return.

Rick has been working in, on, and around the Portland startup community for 30 years. He has been called "the Godfather of Portland Startups" and was recognized by the Kauffman Foundation as one of the "OGs" of startup ecosystem building. He spoke at TEDxPortland on community building.
